On 1st two Lapland and Snow Bunting were on Carr Naze. A long-staying Bar-tailed Godwit was on the Country Park or Brigg all month. 11 Snow Buntings were in the stubble, Short-eared Owl & 12 Grey Partridges were on the Tip, with 5 Bullfinch around the Heligoland plus Reed Buntings & Yellowhammers. Twenty Yellowhammer were in the collared flycatcher hedge on 1st, with 50 Snow Bunting in a North Cliff stubble field. Seven Bottle-nosed Dolphin including 1 calf headed north. Early this month as the compiler is off to New Zealand. Merry Xmas! A late Lesser Whitethroat was in the Top Scrub on 1st. High numbers of thrushes dropped into East Lea, mainly Blackbird. A busy month, with rewards for those who persevered in the field. On 1st Pinkfoots were conspicuous going south. A first-winter Caspian Gull was reported. A Snow Bunting was on Carr Naze all month. On 2nd another fine vismig session at Hunmanby Gap with 600 Goldfinch, 150 Lesser Redpoll, 135 Siskin and 9 Crossbill south

Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday 21st October 2023, at 4pm in the Filey Town Council Chamber, Queen Street, Filey YO14 9HE. Access is through the double black doors from Queen Street and up the stairs to the Council Chamber. The meeting should last around 90 minutes or so. All members welcome.
